Tim Martin, founder of JD Wetherspoon, will be away from his desk for halfthe year, and has said he is fulfilling a long-standing ambition. Martin will spend some of his time off travelling. The move follows closely behind Alan Milburn’s decision to quit the cabinetand spend more time with his family – and signals that the trend for increasedwork-life balance is now reaching the very top end of Government and business.
