first_imgLatest Stories To ensure a safe and happy Halloween for its youngsters, the City of Brundidge will host a citywide “treating” on the lawn of the Bass House from 5 until 7 o’clock tonight.Nikki Simmons, city administrative assistant, said “trick or treating” at the Bass House began around 2000 and is supported by the city and the downtown merchants and attracts a large number of little Halloween and cartoon characters, super heroes and little lady dressups.Trick or treating at the Bass House is for children up to age 13 and their parents or a responsible adult. Plans underway for historic Pike County celebration Pike County Sheriff’s Office offering community child ID kits Penny Hoarder Issues “Urgent” Alert: 6 Companies Are… Brundidge Police Chief Moses Davenport said the haunted house is not for older youth.“The haunted house is part of trick or treating and its scary fun for children,” he said. “Parents may escort their children through the haunted house, especially the younger ones who want to do see what it’s all about.” “The City of Brundidge will have a hotdog wagon with drinks, the soda ring toss and an inflatable bouncy for children three and younger,” Simmons said. “The city will also take photographs of children in costume and first, second and third place prizes will be given for the best costumes.”Simmons said between 15 and 20 merchants will have treats for those who come promising no tricks for treats.The Brundidge Police Department will have a haunted house for the participating children.
