101, passed away on January 18, 2017. He was born in Bayonne to George A. and Mary (Gagorik) Daniel. Vincent started his career at Pharma Chemical Co. in Bayonne and stayed there through several mergers, ending his career at Bayer Corporation, 41 years later. He was active in the Chamber of Commerce, interested in establishing good working relationships between the city government and local industries. He was named the Chamber’s first “Man of the Year.” Fifty years later, at a Chamber of Commerce Anniversary Celebration, he was honored again with commendations from the Chamber, the Mayor of Bayonne and the State of New Jersey. He was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years Viola (McCarthy). He is survived by his three children Katherine Risen (William) and Mariann Gruber and Gerard Daniel (Susan), five grandchildren, Mary Doyle, Ann Katis, Michael Gruber, Andrea Daniel, Patrick Daniel, and seven great-grandchildren. Vincent was a communicant of St. Michael’s Church, a devout Catholic and an extraordinary minister actively involved in their works.
