first_img1 Ederson in action for Benfica Manchester City are on the verge of making Benfica goalkeeper Ederson their second summer signing.The Premier League have agreed a fee of around £35million with the Portuguese club for the 23-year-old.The deal will make the Brazilian the most expensive goalkeeper of all-time, beating the £32.6m paid by Juventus for Gianluigi Buffon in 2001.Ederson is due to arrive in Manchester on Monday to finalise a move to the Etihad.He played for Benfica in Sunday’s 2-1 cup final victory over Vitoria de Guimaraes and admitted to reporters after the match he had “probably” made his last appearance for the club.City are expected to make a host of big signings this summer after Pep Guardiola ended his first season in charge without any silverware.Portuguese playmaker Bernado Silva has already arrived from Monaco in a £45million deal.City are also understood to be chasing another Monaco star –  Benjamin Mendy – and Tottenham defender Kyle Walker.last_img read more
